Beşiktaş Chairman Serdal Adalı updated the press on latest football news at the club
“As we all know, we took office at an extremely difficult time for Beşiktaş.
Since taking office, we have been working at a very intense pace to help Beşiktaş achieve its economic and sporting goals. This intensity has increased even further during the ongoing transfer period.”
The Dikilitaş Construction Project, which will strengthen Beşiktaş financially, is progressing as planned. A protocol has been signed with the state construction company Emlak Konut, formalizing the project. The preliminary construction drawings have already been completed. We are in the process of obtaining the necessary permits from the relevant government agencies.
The Dikilitaş Project and similar projects will significantly contribute to both paying off our club's debts and bringing in new players to the Club’s teams.
While we strive to build our future with new economic investments, we must pay attention to our youth teams. We have begun taking concrete steps regarding Beşiktaş youth teams and are making improvements in many areas.
We have established an advisory board comprised of former football stars from our club. This board will hold regular coordination meetings to address youth development.
Steps will also be taken to rejuvenate the technical and administrative staff starting next season, and high technology and scientific applications will be fundamental to all processes.
We have started significant renovations to our training facilities, from the pitches to the fitness center, and from social areas to dormitories. Furthermore, as previously mentioned, all applications have been submitted for the 100-acre plot of land near the new airport. We hope to begin construction on this land as soon as possible.
From now on, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of players developed through the youth academy will be transferred to the youth academy and used to bring up new players. It will create a sustainable development for Beşiktaş.
The careers of our new signings, David Jurasek, Tammy Abraham, Orkun Kökçü, and Wilfred Ndidi, demonstrate that they are the right players for our club. We will hear more about them as the season progresses.
We don't go after stars who are expensive and have passed their prime. All our transfers are made with careful planning and organizational work. We strive to acquire players who fit our system and contribute to the style of football we want to play. This season we will first put together the team's core and then make it competitive. In the meantime, we'll focus on young players.
My greatest expectation from this season is a Beşiktaş that fight to the last drop of its strength, recapture the spirit of being a great team, unite the fans in the stands and rekindles our hopes for the future.
I wish Beşiktaş a successful new season and wholeheartedly believe that we will return to those glorious days filled with championship titles.”
