With the attendance of Beşiktaş Chairman Serdal Adalı, Board Members Murat Kılıç, Uğur Fora, Merve Öztopaloğlu, İbrahim Şafak Sağlam, Selahattin Solmaz, and administrators, teachers, students from Beşiktaş-Kabataş Foundation Schools, the April 23  National Sovereignty and Children’s Day was celebrated at the Beşiktaş Tüpraş Stadium with a special ceremony.
 
In his speech Beşiktaş Chairman Serdal Adalı said the following:
 
“105 years ago on this date, our nation declared its sovereignty, and our Great Leader Ataturk later dedicated this day to our children because they would be the guarantors of that sovereignty.   
 
With unlimited gratitude and respect, we salute all the heroes of our War of Independence  and the Great Leader Ataturk, who gifted us such a meaningful day. 
 
Our children are not only the hopes of their families, but also the hopes of our country. They are the architects of our future. At Beşiktaş sports club, we wholeheartedly believe in the importance of sports for the development of our children. We are working hard to raise not only good athletes, but also good individuals.”  
 
With folk dances, songs and poetry recitals, the students and quests celebrated the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day with great enthusiasm.
