Today, it is the 103rd anniversary of the opening of the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Laying the foundations of a modern parliamentary democracy, it has successfully safeguarded the sovereignty and unity of our beloved nation. 

On this occasion, I  commemorate the Founder of Turkish Republic  Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his Comrades in Arms who made it possible with gratitude and respect.

The fact that this important day has also been gifted as a holiday to the children of our country symbolizes the value that our leaders have given to children. Since 1979, we’ve been marking the 23 April as the International Children’s Day.   

In line with Atatürk's goal of raising our country above the level of contemporary civilization, we will continue to work with all our strength to ensure that our children, who actually represent Türkiye's future, can grow up as individuals that are useful to our country. 

On behalf of the Beşiktaş Family, I celebrate the 23 April the National Sovereignty and International Children’s Day with great excitement and hope.
