Trabzonspor started the Turkish Cup Final at Istanbul Ataturk Olympic Stadium strong and went in front after 13 minutes, with a solo effort from Paul Onuachu. Recovering from the early goal quickly, Beşiktaş gained the upper hand and levelled the scores through a penalty-kick converted by Rachid Ghezzal just before the half-time. Black Eagles continued to dominate the game after the restart and pulled ahead 2-1 up thanks to Salih Uçan’s brilliant header on 55 minutes. Trabzonspor pushed for the equaliser but had to wait until the 89th minute when Nicolas Pepe made it 2-2 with a close-range finish. However, Beşiktaş refused to give up as their Libyan mid-fielder Al-Musrati fired a bullet from downtown into the net in stoppage time to secure the Turkish Cup trophy for the Black Eagles.
