Dear Beşiktaş Fans,

We have left behind another tough year. Sometimes we rejoiced, sometimes we were saddened. However, we have never lost our hope and enthusiasm. We have also never stopped fighting for the best. By filling the stands of Vodafone Park game after game, you gave us the support we needed.  Your cheering and passion motivated our team in a positive way and were a key factor in our victories. Therefore, I want to thank each and every one of you.

The year 2023 will be a meaningful year for Beşiktaş. We will not only celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Turkish Republic but also mark Beşiktaş JK’s 120th Birthday.  I hereby wish that the new year may bring peace, prosperity and good health to our nation.  I also wish that it brings lots of luck to our club on the path of success. Due to the 2022 FIFA World Cup, our league was suspended for forty-five days. During this break, our men’s football team, under the leadership of Şenol Güneş, continued their trainings both in BJK Istanbul Nevzat Demir Facilities and in Antalya. I watched the preparations at the two sides in person and received regular news from our Manager Şenol Güneş.  I would like to inform you that your Black Eagles are ready for both the Ziraat Turkish Cup and the Turkish Super League campaigns. In addition, we took our Academy Teams to Antalya camp for the first time to prepare them  for their transition to professionalism.

I would like to draw your attention to the two meetings we held at our headquarters during the final days of 2022. The first of these was the Beşiktaş Supporters Associations Workshop Meeting. At the meeting we attended with Ali Bayrak, our Board Member Responsible for Associations and Social Facilities, we listened to the suggestions of our supporters  and discussed  what can be done together in the near future.

The other meeting involved our sponsors who added strength to our strength. Believe me, I felt great happiness and pleasure when I saw this great community in front of me that full-heartedly supported our cause. We have honoured  these valuable institutions and organizations with a plaques and presents for their efforts. The support given by our sponsors, especially to our amateur branches, is of great importance. They have taken this burden off our club's backs and relieved us immensely. I thank them all separately once again.

At the 2022 World Cup Finals, we have seen how selective and meticulous Beşiktaş  scout team have worked over the years and made the right player transfers.  From the beginning of the tournament to the final day, the footballers who sweated for the success of their countries also successfully represented Beşiktaş. We were very proud of them. That's why we awarded Atiba Hutchinson, Romain Saïss, Kévin Nkoudou and Wout Weghorst after their return to Istanbul. While concluding my words, I wish that 2023 will open new horizons for our country and for our beloved Beşiktaş.
