Dear Beşiktaş Fans,

At the end of August, we hosted the UEFA Champions League draw in Istanbul and offered traditional Turkish hospitality to the representatives of other European clubs. It was the first Champions League draw that took place outside Monaco. As souvenirs of this memorable event, each club president received a Beşiktaş jersey with his name on it.

After moving the 2020 Champions League Final from Istanbul to Lisbon due to the COVID-19 pandemic, UEFA had decided to hold the tournament’s 2023 Final in our city. Beşiktaş JK hope to take part in this prestigious event in all possible ways.

This season, we’ll be battling with Sporting Lisbon of Portugal, Ajax of Holland and Borussia Dortmund of Germany in Group C for a ticket to the Last 16. Since Turkey desperately needs points for an automatic entry into the Champions League’s group stage, I am sure all other Turkish clubs will also support us in this difficult campaign.  As a successful Champions League team, we’ll give our best in order not to disappoint them.
