Leslie Ferdinand

Biography

Les Ferdinand (born 1966 in London) was a pacey striker with a powerful boot and an ability to shake off opposing defenders with relative ease. He joined the Black Eagles on loan from Queen’s Park Rangers in 1988 for a season and soon became fans’ favourite. Ferdinand won the Turkish and Presidency Cups with Beşiktaş JK. In 36 league matches, he found the back of the net 16 times. He went back to England the following season and built himself a huge reputation.
