A graduate of Istanbul University, Mr. Hasan Arat (born 1959 in Adana Province) played professional basketball at Beşiktaş for 5 years. Chosen ‘Turkish Businessman of the Year” in 1996, he was the Vice President of Beşiktaş JK in Süleyman Seba Administration between 1998-2000. Mr. Arat also served at the Boards of Turkish (TNOC), European (EOC) and International (IOC) Olympics Committees. He is currently a Member of the World Athletics Executive Board. Mr. Arat is a partner in Novo Invest and Dome Group and acts as the Vice Chairman of Turkish Beymen Group. He is married with two children.
