Ertuğrul Sağlam

Biography

Ertuğrul Sağlam (born 1970 in Zonguldak) was one of the legendary strikers of Black Eagles and still holds a special place in fans’ hearts. He started his football career at Fenerbahçe youth system and later played for Gaziantepspor and Samsunspor. In 1994, the prolific scorer was signed by Beşiktaş JK, where he netted 83 goals in 167 league matches during a span of six seasons. The 23 goals he scored in his first season, helped the Black Eagles to the national league title. He earned 41 international caps for Turkey. After retiring from football in 2003, he coached Samsunspor, Kayserispor, Beşiktaş JK and Bursaspor. In 2009-10 season, Sağlam won the Turkish Super League with the Bursa City team.
