Beşiktaş JK acquired Güveroğlu (born 1960) from Elazığspor in 1979. During his 15 years with the Black Eagles, the centre-back played 406 League matches and scored 11 goals. He picked up 5 League titles, 3 Turkish Cups, 4 Presidency Cups and 1 Prime Ministry Cup before retiring from active football in 1994. He has 2 appearances with the Turkish U21 national team. He currently works as a sports columnist and football manager.
