Recep Çetin
Biography
Çetin (born 1965 in Sakarya) was a right-back whose career lasted from 1979 to 2002. The Black Eagles gave him the nickname "Takoz" (Block) because of his extremely tight defence. He started his football career in Sakaryaspor youth system in 1979 at the age of 14. Çetin joined Beşiktaş JK in 1988. He made 56 appearances for the Turkish national team, a club record still stands today. During his stint with the Black and Whites, the talented defender picked up 4 National League titles, 3 Turkish Cups and 4 Presidency Cups.
