Yusuf Tunaoğlu
Biography
The Black Eagles’ unforgettable attacking midfielder (1946-2000) was a product of Beşiktaş JK youth system. He moved up to the senior team when he was only 17. His amazing ball control and playmaker ability attracted scouts from all over Europe. During his 14 years with the club, Tunaoğlu scored 23 goals in 172 league matches. He picked up 2 national league titles with the Black and Whites. Tunaoğlu also made 14 international appearances for the Turkish national team. After his retirement from active football, he worked at the club’s youth system. He died of a heart attack in 2000.
