A classy striker with a great range of skills and proven goal record, Önüt (born 1940 in Aydın) joined Beşiktaş JK from Izmirspor in 1960. During his 9 seasons, he won 2 national league titles with the Black Eagles and scored 94 goals in 225 matches. The 19 goals he netted in 1963-64 season made him Beşiktaş JK’s first top scorer in the Turkish National League.
