Thanks to his exceptional aerial ability and long clearances, the rock-solid centre-back (1928-1988 ) was an assured presence at the back during his 10 seasons with the Black Eagles. He joined Beşiktaş JK from Istanbulspor in 1949 and played until the end of 1959-60 season. He won 1 Istanbul League and 2 National League titles, appearing in 325 matches and netting 10 goals.
