Hüseyin Saygun
Biography
Nicknamed “Çengel” (Hook) for his extraordinary ball control, Hüseyin Saygun (1920-1994) came to Beşiktaş JK from Kurtuluş and played for the Black Eagles from 1936 to 1947 as playmaker. After a one-season stint with Vefa, he returned to Beşiktaş JK in 1948 and retired from active football. He had 9 appearances with the Turkish national team. “Çengel” Hüseyin coached the Black and Whites half a season in 1959.
