The Black Eagles started out real careful against the offensive visitors at the back and had to wait until the 27th minute for the lead. Following a perfect give-and-go with Jose Sosa, Oğuzhan Özyakup calmly slotted the ball into the far corner of the net to send his side 1-0 up. Beşiktaş held onto that one-goal advantage going back into dressing room at the half.
Giving away almost no chances to their opponents, the Eagles dominated the play in the second part, but failed to increase the margin. They were nevertheless more than happy to bag the all three points and remain at the summit.
