Although Istanbul Başakşehir looked more dominant early on, the Eagles gained control after 15 minutes and found several chances for the lead through Demba Ba and Jose Sosa, but their efforts failed to produce a goal. Playing in non-stop rain, the two sides were locked in a goalless draw at half-time.
Beşiktaş’ pressure continued in the second half, but the visitors’ defence stood firm and denied the Black Eagles that much-needed three points. The draw dropped Beşiktaş to third place on the Super League table.
