Black Eagles beat Karşıyaka 1-0 on their home ground with a goal from Fevzi Can Bozkuş, but since the Izmir City team won the first leg in Istanbul by the same score, the game went into extra time. Neither team were able to find the net during the additional half hour, so the qualifer had to be decided through penalty kicks.
