The Eagles were definitely the better side in the early going and raced to a 1-0 lead through Almeida just 5 minutes into the game. The remaining minutes of the half saw them searching for a second goal, but the visitors’ defence and their luck made sure that the score stayed unaltered when the half-time whistle went off.
The visitors looked more attacking in the second half and were rewarded on 71 minutes with a long-range blast from Manuel Da Costa, 1-1. Teams failed to get on the scoresheet in the closing stages as they ended up sharing the spoils. After 14 matches, the Eagles sit third on the Turkish Super League table.
