The visitors Beşiktaş got kicked out of the tournament, which they won in 2011, after losing 2-1 to the Second Division outfit Bucaspor. Starting the game with mostly reserves, the Black and Whites failed to prevent Umut from scoring just before the break and had to wait until the 64th-minute for the equaliser. Substitute centre-forward Ömer Şişmanoğlu fired home from close-range to finish off a well-organised Beşiktaş counter-attack, but Bucaspor regained the lead through Ricketts 10 minutes later and managed to hold onto it until the end.
