The German team started the Tuttur Cup opener in Antalya as the more attacking side and went ahead on 18 minutes through Ivıca Olic. They managed to keep the game under control in the remainder of the half for a one-goal lead at the interval.  Beşiktaş pressed hard to equalise in the early going of the second half, but a 68th -minute goal from Fagner made sure that Wolfsburg walked off with a convincing victory.
