With a flurry of chances, the visitors were definitely more threatening in the first half hour, but Holosko finished off a great pass from Veli Kavlak on 42 minutes to send Beşiktaş in front. While Kayserispor were still reeling from that setback, Sivok doubled the Eagles’ lead three minutes later with a cracker off the crossbar.
A solo effort from Olcay made it 3-0 three minutes into the second half, but the visitors managed to bring the deficit down to two goals through Mouche at the 61st minute mark. The Eagles calmly played out the remaining minutes to run out 3-1 winners and close the season’s first half with a well-earned victory.
