As a pre-season warm up, last season's national champions are taking part in the 2nd Nilüfer Cup Tournament. After beating the newly-promoted Yeditepe University 32-25 in their opener, they edged past Iranian Champions Sebzer Samen Hojej 32-29 to register their 2nd win in a row.
