Eagles started uncharacteristically slow and found themselves a goal down after 8 minutes through Katan. They continued to struggle offensively in the remainder of the half as the Israeli team held onto their 1-0 advantage at the intermission. Things got worse for Beşiktaş when Ezra finished off a break-away to stretch Maccabi’s lead to two goals on 60 minutes. Eagles never recovered rest of the game and had to settle for a 2-0 loss at the end.
