Atletico Madrid 3 -1 Beşiktaş

The home side started the first-leg of Europa League Last 16 in Madrid stronger and went ahead after 24 minutes through Salvio. While the Eagles were trying to re-group, the young Argentinian doubled his team’s lead 3 minutes later. But Atletico weren’t done yet as Adrian added another at the 37th-minute mark, which gave the Spaniards a three-goal cushion at half-time.
 
Beşiktaş looked better organized in the second half and managed to pull on back with Simao on 54 minutes. But to the dismay of their travelling fans, that’s all they could muster in the remaining time, leaving their quarter-final qualification hopes to the second-leg inIstanbul.
