In a hotly-contested pre-season game at the Arena, Beşiktaş men’s basketball suffered a narrow loss to the Greeks.

Starting the game with a lineup composed of Zoran Erceg, Deron Williams, Serhat Çetin, David Hawkins and Ersin Dağlı, the Black and Whites were down 49-41 at the break. They bounced back to take a 58-57 lead after three, but a late surge in the final quarter lifted Olympiakos to a 87-80 victory. Deron Williams led the Black Eagles with 22 points, followed by Marcelus Kemp (15) and Semih Erden (11).
