Beşiktaş Football Team defeated Bucaspor (5-1) at the first game of Group D of the Fortis Turkish Cup.
Having a fast start Beşiktaş had secured an early control of the game thanks to its relentless attacks from both wings. Fahri Tatan put Beşiktaş (1-0) ahead as early as 12th minute after cleverly sending a deflected ball into Bucaspor’s net. Gökhan Güleç made it (2-0) with a brilliant strike at the 40th minute and Beşiktaş stayed in front for good. At the end of the first half Baki Mercimek was sent off by the referee Kuddisi Müftüoğlu after receiving two yellow cards.In the second half Beşiktaş had slowed down the pace of the game and eventually went 3 up by a goal of Bobo at the 58th minute who directed the superb pass of substitute Carlos Delgado right into the corner of Bucaspor goal. Gürsoy from Bucaspor reduced the difference to two goals at the 72nd minute but Argentinian star Delgado immediately took the center stage at scored back through a perfect free kick outside the 18 yard line (4-1). Last goal came from the Brazilian young player Bobo who closed the curtain after a clever pass and run with Gökhan Güleç for his second goal of the game (5-1).
