Türkan Erişmiş, the athlete of Beşiktaş, made the second place in 3,000 meter handicap category in the Europe Championship Individual Athletes Younger than 23 Years of Age and won the silver medal.

Türkan Erişmiş, both broke the Turkish record with her score of 9.55.42 in the 3,000 meter handicap finals in the championship in Efurt, Germany, and completed the competition at the second place and brought silver medal to Turkey.
Kowalska, the winner of the competition, run with the score of 9.54.17, and Russian Svetlana Ivanova made the third place with her score of 9.56.44.
