It was a balanced game until the 28th minute when Leandro Trossard calmly slotted home Rıdvan Yılmaz’s clever pass to put Beşiktaş 1-0 in front. Black Eagles took that one-goal lead into the dressing room at half-time. After the restart, an unmarked Dusan Vlahovic converted smartly from close range to make it 2–0 for Beşiktaş. However, the home side Kasımpaşa recovered and pulled one back through Claudio Winck’s header on 60 minutes. They then went on to equalise with a late header from Marcus Rafferty and salvaged a valuable point.
