Beşiktaş Women’s Football Team participates in World Osteoporosis Day events

Players from Beşiktaş Women’s Football Team, along with Administrative Manager Nergiz Bulut, Head of Football Operations and International Relations for the Women’s Football Teams Başak Gündoğdu, Head Coach Didem Karagenç, and Beşiktaş JK Museum Consultant Zülal Gök, attended a World Osteoporosis Day event held at the BJK Fulya Hakkı Yeten Facilities.

The event was organized in collaboration with Eyüp Coşar, President of the Dolmabahçe Beşiktaş Supporters Association, and his board members.

The event, aimed at raising awareness about osteoporosis—commonly known as "bone thinning”. It also featured a practical demonstration by our Head Coach, Didem Karagenç, who showed participants  simple physical movements and foot exercises that can be incorporated into daily life.

Following a presentation by Op. Dr. Adem Özden—a member of the Beşiktaş-affiliated Medical Professionals Association and an obstetrician-gynecologist—who discussed osteoporosis and the role of football as a sport that helps prevent the condition, the participants formed a circle to further raise awareness and draw attention to the issue of osteoporosis.
