The Black and Whites trailed 33-18 after the first quarter but managed to close within two points at the intermission, 51-49. Fired up by Mensah-Bonsu, they asserted their superiority in the third to take an 81-72 lead going into fourth. However, the visitors rallied back in the final stanza and a buzzer-beater bucket lifted them to an unexpected victory. As usual, Bonsu  led the Eagles with 26 points while Hawkins racked up 18.
