Biography
Because of his extraordinary talent, Beşiktaş’s current captain (born 20 November 1981 in Sivas) was first introduced to organized football when he was just a primary school student. He played for Sivas DSİ Spor as an amateur for 6 years. He was signed by the Turkish Super League team Gaziantepspor, where he spent his next 7 years. Beşiktaş acquired the Turkish international defender in 2004.
