Mehmet Özdilek


Biography
Nicknamed “Scifo” for his playing style, Özdilek (born 1996 in Samsun) joined Beşiktaş JK in 1988 and played 13 straight years, scoring 130 goals in 387 matches. He is still the highest scoring midfielder in Turkish national leagues. A team captain, “ Scifo Mehmet” picked up 4 League titles, 4 Presidency Cups and 1 Prime Ministry Cup with the Black Eagles. He has earned 38 international caps with Turkey. After his retirement in 2001, Özdilek has taken up coaching, and he currently manages Turkish Super League outfit Antalyaspor.
