Responding to questions from Beşiktaş fans, Atiba Hutchinson said:
"-I'm delighted to be here. I live mostly in Turkey these days. I would like to thank our fans for the love they have given me and my family over the years.
-Right now, I'm enjoying my retirement. I played football for twenty years. I am glad to spend time with my family, but I miss football. I don't know what the future holds for me.
-When I left the team, I was very happy with the documentary that was made for me. I was delighted with the positive comments.
-I can't forget the 4-3 away win against Trabzonspor and the goal I scored in that match.
-The match against Fenerbahce in my third season was very important for me. The win in that game turned out to be a turning point for us.
-My wife and children speak Turkish well. I speak less.
-I have always been in good terms with Ricardo Quaresma. We have achieved a lot for Beşiktaş together. I was happy to be reunited with him today.
-The most important period in my career was playing for Beşiktaş. I was very happy to wear the Beşiktaş jersey. I have won championships and had great successes with this jersey.
-Istanbul is a very lively cosmopolitant city. People know me and support me. This special bond has always motivated me. Me and my family feel like at home here.
-I was very honored with the song "Atiba Hutchinson, let the clashes begin" sung by our fans. My children still sing that song at home.
-Besiktas fans are the best in the world. The atmosphere created by our fans in this stadium is found nowhere else.
-Anytime, anywhere, Besiktas is the greatest.”
