Necip Uysal wins Turkish National Olympic Committee award
Beşiktaş JK football team’s midfielder Necip Uysal is honoured with the 2015 Best Player Behaviour Award by the Turkish National Olympic Committee (TMOK) today. The incident that won him the award took place during the pre-match ceremony of the Istanbul derby between Beşiktaş and Fenerbahçe on 4th April 2015. Wearing a Fenerbahçe jersey, a 6-year-old boy held Necip Uysal’s hand and started walking towards the center of the pitch but suddenly started crying and asking if he had now become a Beşiktaş supporter for holding hands with a Beşiktaş player. Necip Uysal calmed the boy down by saying him that actually he was the one who now became a Fenerbahçe supporter.
