A loan agreement between Beşiktaş and Bundesliga team Hannover 96 has sent the centre-back Marcelo Antonio Guedes Filho to the Istanbul club until the end of this season. 
 
Born on 20 May, 1987 in Sao Vicente, Brazil, Marcelo commenced his football career at Santos FC. After making the first team, he switched to Europe and played for Wisla Krakow, PSV Eindhoven and Hannover 96. Beşiktaş signed him during the winter-break of the 2015/16 season.
