Eagles fall at Kadiköy with late goal

Fenerbahçe 1-0 Beşiktaş

Neither team were able to stamp their authority early on. While Gökhan Töre initiated most Beşiktaş attacks, Fenerbahçe fed Emenike with long balls. As the game progressed, the home side looked more active upfront and found two good chances with Emenike and Mehmet Topal, but both failed to deliver. The teams remained goalless at the break.

Playing with their reserve keeper Günay Güvenç, who replaced injured Tolga Zengin, the Eagles concentrated mostly on defence in the second half, with occasional but dangerous counter-attacks. This tactic appeared to be working, however, an injury-time goal from Moussa Sow gave all three points to Fenerbahçe.
