The Eurocup Group D leading Black Eagles breezed past the second-place hosts from Ljubljana, Slovenia on the road tonight to strengthen their position at the top and avenge their two-point loss in Istanbul. After racing out to a 24-14 first-quarter lead, Beşiktaş managed to hold on to it going into the intermission, 42-30. The Istanbul boys in black and white continued to set the pace in the second half as they remained in front 56-42 after three quarters. The Union Olimpija tried to get back into it at the outset of the fourth quarter, only to see Chris Lofton stretch the gap even further with a flurry of shots from outside as Beşiktaş refused to slow down and ran out double-digit victors.
