Following an uneventful opening, Beşiktaş gained control of the game and went ahead on 18 minutes with a 30-yard bullet from Veli Kavak that found the top corner of the Serbian giants’ net. After Gökhan Töre’s solo effort hit the post and bounced back in, Demba Ba finished off a brilliant passing play with Oğuzhan Özyakup and Olcay Şahan just before the final whistle to give the Black Eagles a two-goal cushion before the interval.
The undefeated Turkish Super League leaders refused to slow down in the second half as Oğuzhan Özyakup made it 3-0 from near the six-yard line at the 52th-minute mark. Few minutes later, Göhkan Töre converted Demba Ba’s through pass during a Beşiktaş break away and closed the scoring for the night. With the four-goal victory the Black Eagles share the lead with Tottenham in Group C with 3 matches to play. They meet FK Partizan again in Istanbul on 6 November.
