Galatasaray 3 - 2 Beşiktaş

Beşiktaş started slow and fell behind after just 15 minutes when Elmander’s strike from inside the box hit the cross-bar and dropped in. The tired-looking Eagles couldn’t answer back in the remaining minutes and were a goal down at the interval.
 
The Black and Whites opened the second half with a 48th-minute İbrahim Toraman goal, but their parity would not last too long because home team Galatasaray regained the lead through Melo three minutes later. Eagles refused to surrender as defender Semih’s own-goal levelled the scores once again on 74 minutes. They almost took the lead in the closing stages, but Almedia’s header was inches over the bar. In the ensuing counter-attack, Elmander broke the deadlock for good with a header from one yard out.
