Portuguese gang on Eagles’ Gençlerbirliği victory

Quaresma: We played a poor first half, but after a good team talk at interval, we were able to finish strong. I can’t push myself too hard because I am still recovering from my injury. I’ll get sharper the more games I play.  Fernandes’ yellow-card suspension is definitely going to be a distraction for us in this week’s derby against Galatasaray, but I am sure his replacement will do an equally good job.
 
Almedia: I think we showed our true colors in the second half and managed to bounce back. And obviously, it is always a nice feeling to contribute with a goal. Tonight’s win will give us a lot of confidence going into Galatasaray match.  
 
Fernandes: I am delighted to have scored the winning goal, but I am also saddened by the fact that I am not going to play against Galatasaray. Despite my absence, I expect a win this weekend.
