Gençlerbirliği 4-2 Beşiktaş

On Day 10 of the Turkish Super League, Black and Whites leave all three points in Ankara.

A blistering start by the Black Eagles saw them take an early lead just after 4 minutes. Midfielder Ernst powered home Simao’s cross from close-range to put Beşiktaş in front 1-0. While the home side struggled to get their house in order, Mustafa Pektemek doubled the score on 24 minutes with a neat finish from 6 yard line and then the high-flying Eagles carried that two goal advantage into the intermission.
But it was a completely different story in the second half as Genclerbirligi came back and levelled the scores on back-to-back goals from Herve Tum and Hursit. To make things worse for Besiktas’ Egemen added an own goal to the hosts’ tally on 77 minutes, and suddenly the Eagles were down 3-2. Besiktas desperately pushed for the equaliser in the remaining minutes, only to see Erdal make it 4-2 in closing stages and secure all three points for Genclerbirligi.
