In Game 1 of the Eurocup Qualifying Round, Beşiktaş men’s basketball team pulled out a 78-70 victory over the visiting Dexia of Belgium.

Playing with Deron Williams, David Hawkins, Ersin Dağlı, Zoran Erceg and Marcelus Kemp, the Black Eagles started sluggish and were down 22-21 after one. Thanks to Deron Williams and Marcelus Kemp, they managed to regroup in the second and took a 41-38 lead into halftime.

Beşiktaş Milangaz was a much better team in the second half as it pushed the margin to eleven, 63-52, heading into fourth. The Black and Whites used Kemp’s hot hand in the final quarter to walk away with a valuable 78-70 win. Marcelus Kemp poured in 24 points for Beşiktaş, followed by Deron Williams who had 15.
