On Day 2 of the Spor Toto Turkish Super League, Beşiktaş won 3-1 at home to Ankaragücü tonight.

The Black and Whites started strong and applied the early pressure but failed to find the net. They nevertheless, drew first blood on 35 minutes when Brazilian defender Sidnei headed home Fernandes’ corner-kick and closed the scoring for the first half.
 
The tiredness of Thursday’s 5-1 victory over Maccabi began the show itself in the second half as Tısdell brought Ankargücü level at 53rd-minute mark during a breakaway. But the man-of –the match Sidnei took the spotlight once again after 82 minutes and put his team back in front. Five minutes later, Mustafa Pektemek’s brilliant header secured the victory for Beşiktaş, 3-1.
