Beşiktaş Wheelchair Basketball won their playoff opener over Izmir Büyükşehir Belediye SK, 73-63, in KKTC today.

In the hotly-contested first quarter, Izmir Büyükşehir looked the better side and was up by five, 32-18, heading into the second. Thanks to a flurry of buckets by Cem, Kaan and Ferit, the Eagles took control in the second stanza to lead 43-30 at the break. 
The Izmir City team mounted an impressive comeback in the third as it pulled within 65-59 entering the fourth, only to see Beşiktaş regain momentum in the final quarter and walk away with a ten-point, 73-63, victory.
