Beşiktaş Junior Men’s Basketball made the quarterfinals of Turkish National Championship after beating Galatasaray, 78-72, in Trabzon City today.

The teams were tied, 17-17, by the end of first, but the Junior Eagles managed to take a 38-30 edge into the break. Galatasaray came back to lead,  52-48, after three, only to see Beşiktaş’s Cengiz Eray Direk send the game into overtime with last second bucket in the fourth.   
Led by Kartal Özırmak, the Eagles prevailed 78-72 in OT to reach the semifinals stage of the Turkish nationals.
