After Beşiktaş’s Cup triumph, Beşiktaş Manager Tayfur Havutçu shared his thoughts with the press:

“We are all overjoyed with the outcome. I won many titles as a player, but this one was my first as a manager so it carries a special meaning for me. Despite being picked to win, we came in here knowing that it was going to a real tough battle, but we had to win at all costs because this was our only chance to compete in Europe next season. Thank God, our lads didn’t disappoint us. I congratulate each and every one of them.
To close out an up-down season with a  title was the least we could do for our fans. They travelled all the way from Istanbul and kept motivating us with their non-stop cheering throughout the game. My sincere thanks go to all of them.”
