Beşiktaş’s German player Fabian Ernst has been chosen  “The Player of the Year” by the students of Istanbul Işık High-School.

After receiving his award at the School’s Nişantaşı Campus, Ernst said, “Thanks to you, I love this country and am proud to be playing for its greatest club.” Meanwhile the team’s Portuguese star got selected  “The Best Foreign Player of the Year.” Since he was not present, his award was given to Club Translator Emre Demirtaş. Beşiktaş’s Honorary President, Süleyman Seba also got an award for his life-time contributions to Beşiktaş.
