Speaking at an award ceremony organized by the fans from Istanbul Bilgi University, Beşiktaş’s international star Ricardo Quaresma claimed the Eagles would be much better next season.

After receiving his award, the Portuguese player took the floor and said:  “I’ll do my best to be worthy of  this award. I want you to know that I am happy at Beşiktaş and have no intention of playing for ant other team next season. You are one of the reasons why I want to stay, and you deserve the best. We’ve had an up and down season this year; but don’t forget we are a brand new squad, and it takes time to build a championship team. I am sure we’ll be a much better next season because most of our foreign player’s adaptation period will be over by then.”
