Beşiktaş Chairman Yıldırım Demirören addressed to Beşiktaş community in the April issue of Beşiktaş magazine. 

Dear Beşiktaş Supporters,
As you all know, under our previous Manager Bernd Schuster, we not only qualified from an Europa League group for the first time, but we also won the most games in our history together with scoring most goals. We were hoping to continue working with Mr. Schuster until the end of next season, but he found himself unsuccessful in the league and decided to resign. I myself and our board members sincerely thank him for the work his done for our club. We will remember him as a great coach and wish him all the best in his future endeavors. 
After Schuster’s sudden departure, instead of searching for a foreign manager, which would be a real difficult task at this time of the season, our board  unanimously voted for entrusting the team to Assistant Manager Tayfur Havutçu, our old boy at the club, until the end of the season. I have no doubt with your support, he will bring a brand new atmosphere to team and take us to new heights.       
 
Dear Beşiktaş Supporters, 
 
Of course, we are not only concerned with our football team. We attach utmost importance to our other sports as well. For example, under our new coach Ergin Ataman, Beşiktaş Cola Turka Men’s Basketball has caught a new momentum and started its long awaited ascend in the league. The recent derby win against our arch-rival has proved that the team is on the right tract and has already become a contender for this season’s title.  
 
Dear Beşiktaş Supporters,
 
As I often say, regardless of in which sports we compete, we always aim at the top spot. Therefore, we’ve have been heavily investing in all Beşiktaş sports. But unfortunately, our men’s volleyball team, despite of making the final-four in the Turkish Cup, has performed well below our expectations and relegated to second division this season. We are not going to hide behind excuses as most others do but learn from our mistakes and avoid repeating them. We have already started taking the necessary steps for the next season to bring it back to where it deservedly belongs. Believe me, my administration will save no efforts to this end.          
Dear Beşiktaş Supporters,
 
On April the 23rd, we will mark our National Independence and Children Day gifted to us by the Greatest Beşiktaş fan of all times Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.    With this opportunity, I celebrate this historical occasion and express my gratitude to our Great Leader once again.
